Egypt’s domes of Al-Atris,Al-Aidarous are registered among Islamic monuments

 CAIRO - 12 January 2021:The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, is constantly working on preserving Egypt's cultural heritage.  
 
In the last session of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, chaired by Dr. Khaled El- Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, it was agreed to register the domes of Al-Atris and Al-Aidarous in front of the Sayeda Zeinab Mosque in Cairo as one of the Islamic monuments.
 
 Dr. Osama Talaat, head of the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities Sector at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, said that the two domes were registered for the unique architectural style used in the construction of their double open shrines.  
 
 
It was ordered by Prince Abd Al-Rahman Ketkhda within his architectural design of the mosque in 1173 AH / 1774 CE, as their graves were only gravestones, and the mosque and domes were renovated during the reign of Khedive Saeed in 1276 AH according to the written text on the front of the two domes.
 
 He pointed out that Al-Atris is Mr. Muhammad Al-Qurashi, known as the son of Sayyid Izz al-Din Abi al-Majd Abdul Aziz al-Qurashi, son of al-Sayyid Quraysh bin Muhammad al-Naji bin Ali al-Ridha bin Musa al-Kazim bin Jaafar al-Sadiq bin Muhammad al-Baqir bin Ali Zain al-Abidin, and he was a lecturer in Al-Mashhad Al-Zainabi, and he died during the Late seventh century AH.
 
 As for Aidaros, he is the father of al-Marahim Wajih al-Din Abd al-Rahman al-Aidaroos al-Tarimi, the son of al-Sayyid Mustafa bin Sheikh bin Ali Zain al-Abidin bin Abdullah bin Sheikh bin al-Qutb Syed Abdullah al-Aidaroos bin Abi Bakr al-Sukran bin Imam Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Saqqaf bin Muhammad, the slave of al-Duwailah bin Ali bin Alawi bin  Muhammad bin Issa al-Naqib bin Muhammad ibn al-Sayyid Ali al-Aridi bin Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq bin al-Sayyid Muhammad al-Baqir Ibn Ali Zain al-Abidin bin Imam Abu Abdullah al-Hussein -from Tarim from the country of Yemen, and he was one of the distinguished scholars.
