Egypt’s culture min. mourns late actor Hadi el-Gayar

CAIRO – 10 January 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem mourned late actor Hadi el-Gayar, who passed away in the early hours of January 10 at the age of 71, due to COVID-19, and extended her condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

Abdel Dayem highlighted that Gayar had a great artistic career that began in the sixties of the last century and comprised more than 200 works in cinema, theater and television, stressing that Gayar left a great imprint on Egyptian and Arab conscience with his roles “which expressed our reality and our problems.”

It is noteworthy that the late artist was born in 1949 and graduated from the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts.
