CAIRO - 7 January 2020: In celebration of Coptic Christmas on January 7, ET shed light on some churches and monasteries on the path of the Holy Family’s Journey in Egypt.

A journey that has great historical and religious significance for Egyptians. It is a globally important religious heritage very unique to Egypt.

This blessed journey lasted more than three and a half years during which the Holy Family blessed more than 25 locations in nationwide.

Egypt is keen to preserve its heritage of churches and monasteries, and developing the blessed stops of the Holy Family’s journey.

The latest endeavor in this development project was developing the area around the Church of Our Lady and the Martyr Abanoub in Samannoud in Gharbia.

More renovations are to come.
