CAIRO - 4 January 2020:Veteran Lebanese musician Elias Rahbani died on Monday at the age of 83.

The legendary musician has left a great legacy that housed hundreds of iconic songs.

Rahbani studied music at the Lebanese Academy and National Conservatory.

He mastered different forms and styles of music.

He was the younger brother of the famed music duo Assi and Mansour Rahbani.

The late great composer, producer, conductor, songwriter and poet, coperated with a number of popular Lebanese singers, such as Fairouz, Sabah, Wadih Al-Safi, Majida Al-Roumi among others.

 

His work with Fairouz resulted in a number of iconic songs such as  Tayr El-Werwar, Kan Al-Zaman, Ya Nasiny, Sahar Al-Layaly, and many others.

He wrote music for around 25 films such as the Egyptian movie “ Damy w Dom’y w Ebtisamaty” (My Blood, My Tears, and My Smile).
