Cairo Culture Palace organizes workshops for crochet, printing at Baheya Hospital

CAIRO – 3 January 2020: The General Authority for Cultural Palaces, through the Cairo Culture Branch, organized a visit to Baheya Hospital for early detection and treatment of breast cancer, in the presence of the director general of the branch.

 

The visit included a workshop for printing on canvas, which is the process of applying colors to the canvas using more than one color, to create some pictures and phrases that express a certain idea, in addition to a crochet art workshop to make a crochet keffiyeh using the chain stitch.

 

A tour took place inside Baheya Hospital; to acquaint the attendees with the hospital’s departments of radiotherapy, clinical pharmacy and other departments and to familiarize the attendees with the history and establishment of the hospital, and the important role it plays in combating cancer, emphasizing the need to spread a health-conscious culture, early and continuous examination, as early detection increases the rates of recovery, in addition to emphasizing the importance of the psychological factor.
