Aswan International Women Film Festival to honor Egyptian star Donia Samir Ghanem

CAIRO - 26 December 2020: The fifth edition of Aswan International Women Film Festival (AIWFF) will honor famed Egyptian actress Donia Samir Ghanem.

The fifth edition of AIWFF is scheduled to take place on February 20 in Aswan city.

 
Head of Aswan International Women Film Festival Egyptian scriptwriter Mohamed Abdel-Khalek said that Ghanem is one of the most important actresses in Egyptian cinema now with her successful films.
 
 
 
The famed Egyptian actress was born in 1985. She is the elder daughter of the veteran comedian Samir Ghanem and acclaimed actress Dalal Abdel-Aziz.
 
Donia’s exceptional  talent enabled her to play a variety of roles in different genres in both cinema and TV.
 
Donia is a multitalented artist, she acts, dances and sings too.
 
She debuted her acting career when she was a teenager through Nada' role, in the TV series “ Lel-A'adala Wogoh Kathierah” ( Justice has many faces) in 2001.
 
Donia’s cinematic repertoire houses a notable group of movies such as  “Ya Ana Khalty” ( It is either me or my aunt) with Mohamed Henedy, “X-Large”and “Laff W-Dawaran” (Beating around the bush) with Ahmed Helmy, “365 Youm Sa'ada” (365 days of happiness) with Ahmed Ezz, “Cabaret” ( Nightclub)  “El-Farah”( The wedding) among others.
 
Donia Samir Ghanem's pairing with Ahmed Mekky introduced some of the two stars' most important comedy films; 'Teer Enta' and 'La Taraga' Wala Esteslam', in addition to dominating multiple TV seasons with the 'El-Kebeer Awi' series.
 
Donia reserved her place among the most successful  TV stars, through her smash hits; Lahfa, Nelly W-Sherehan, Fil Lala Land and Badal El-Hdaoutah Talata'.
