CAIRO – 24 December 2020:  The Heliopolis Association, in all its cultural and creative institutions, organizes many events in bidding farewell to the year 2020 and the reception of the new year 2021.

Head of the Heliopolis Association Nabil Helmy said that the association, with all its cultural platforms, is keen every year to organize celebrations and carnivals that take place in a spiritual space with every appearance of the birthday of Christ, accompanying a picture of Santa Claus carrying his inexhaustible bag of gifts that he distributes to children around the world.

He pointed out that the activities will start with a workshop entitled “Santa Claus Doll" at Heliopolis Children's Library. The workshop will be held on December 26 at 12 p.m. with the participation of dozens of children, making Santa Claus dolls using cardboard, cloth and cotton materials.

During the workshop, the children will learn about the origin of Santa Claus and the country of his origin and how he developed in the children's conscience as the big, white-bearded person who carries a gift bag that he distributes to children, to the cart in which Santa Claus rides, which is dragged by three white spindles.

The celebrations also include a story-telling workshop in which children listen to Santa Claus, who takes them with their imaginations to his beginnings and how he became the favorite of all.
