CAIRO – 14 December 2020: The seminars accompanying the Luxor International Painting Forum, which is held under the patronage of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, have been launched.

It is organized by the Cultural Development Fund Sector in cooperation with Luxor Governorate.

Head of the Cultural Development Fund Sector Fathy Abdel Wahab confirmed that the Luxor International Painting Forum has reached a stage of great artistic maturity. This was clear by the results of recent sessions, and also from the requests of participation from artists.

Abdel Wahab further explained that the forum has turned into an art academy with the momentum it carries in the form of seminars and archaeological tours for the participants, as well as the exchange of experiences between the main artists and the accompanying workshop youth.

He pointed out that the youth participating in the workshops produce paintings that are no less in artistic quality than the main participants.

The General Coordinator of the Forum artist Imad Abu Zeid, said that the seminars aim to review the experiences of the various artists participating in the 13 workshops that the Forum is presenting throughout its activities, in order to achieve its goals of transferring experiences and enriching experiences between artists of different generations.

He pointed out that the forum includes artistic workshops in which 12 young Egyptian artists participate, with the aim of refining their skills and developing their artistic tools by providing them with the opportunity to interact with great artists from multiple cultures and art schools.

Abu Zeid considered that the presence and participation of artists, amid the measures taken to combat COVID-19, is a message to all the world of the importance of arts  and how it continues to fulfill its mission despite the pandemic.
