CAIRO – 13 December 2020: Several artistic and cultural events will be held in a number of creative centers on December 13.

 

The Central Upper Egypt Cultural Salon, which roams the governorates of Upper Egypt, is holding a seminar entitled Creations of the Arab Writer Taha Hussein, at the Minya Culture Palace, with the participation of a number of poets.

 

The salon began in Minya and discussed confronting destructive and extremist ideas with creativity and diverse arts. It also discussed opinion and argument through men of thought and culture, and presented in the New Valley the ideas of development and their applications on the ground, in addition to embracing the buds of young talents in Sohag and presented national projects for the state in Assiut.

 

The Upper Egypt Cultural Salon is an idea created by the intelligentsia of Upper Egypt, including poets, writers, critics, thinkers, music artists and plastic artists.

 

Furthermore, the Farid el-Atrash Fans Association, headed by artist Adel el-Sayed, celebrates the death anniversary of the great artist Shadia, which falls on November 28 of each year, at 7 p.m. in Awlad el-Am Hall in Giza.

 

Artist Adel el-Sayed will talk about Shadia and her artistic career, and the many artistic positions that brought her together with the musician Farid el-Atrash.

 

The movie “Enta Habibi” [You are my Love] will be screened for the first time in natural colors, starring Farid el-Atrash and Shadia, produced in 1957 and directed by Youssef Shaheen.

 

A constellation of singers will present the most famous songs of Shadia and the musician Farid el-Atrash. A number of poets will also recite their latest poems.

 

Last but not least, the fifth exhibition of the artist, Ghada Embarek, entitled "The Puzzle", will be opened at El- Hanager Art Center, at 6 p.m., in the Adam Hanin Hall at the El-Hanager Art Center at the Egyptian Opera House, under the supervision of artist Mohamed Desouky, director general of the Center.
