CAIRO – 10 December 2020: The Museum of Islamic Art at Bab Al-Khalq launches a series of introductory videos on the museum and the archaeological collections it contains, under the title "Hadouta".

Director General of the Museum of Islamic Art Mamdouh Othman explained that the program consists of a series of videos shown every month, relaying the history of the museum and its archaeological collections, in a simple and easy way to reach all ages and societal groups.

He added that the first of these episodes will be about the story of the Bab El-Sayeda Zeinab (Door of Zeinab), which decorates the main hall of the museum.

It is noteworthy that the Door of Zeinab is one of the largest silver-armored doors in the world. The door was moved to the Museum of Islamic Art from the Sayyida Zainab Mosque.

It reflects the extent of integration and artistic perfection in implementing Islamic decorations.
