CAIRO – 7 December 2020: The family of the film "Augustine, son of her tears", in cooperation with the Cultural Development Fund sector and the Egyptian Opera House, is organizing a celebration to mark the first anniversary of the departure of the renowned director Samir Seif with the title "A Smile That Won’t Be Absent".

 

The event will be held on December 7 at 6:30 p.m. on the Gomhoriya Theater, in the presence of a large number of students and fans of the late artist and a constellation of artists and journalists.

 

The concert’s program includes the presentation of musical pieces from the music of the late director's films, presented by the Cairo Ceremonial Orchestra led by Maestro Nair Nagy.

 

The celebration will also include the screening of a documentary film on the life of Seif directed by Albert Makram, followed by the screening of "Augustine, son of her tears," which is his last work.

 

It is a joint Tunisian-Algerian production, which won the Best Artistic Achievement Award from the Alexandria International Film Festival. It also won the Republic Prize for Best Film from the Oran Film Festival in Algeria.
