Egyptian Industrialist Talaat Pasha Harb, founder of Banque Misr - ET

CAIRO – 3 December 2020:  The Egyptian National Library and Archives, represented by the Center for Contemporary Egyptian History will hold an educational seminar entitled "Banque Misr Centennial", at 10:30 a.m., in the seminars hall of Dar el-Kotob in the Nile Corniche.

 

Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Cairo University Ahmed el-Sherbiny, will participate in the symposium. He will talk about the role of Banque Misr in the textile industry, Sami el-Zokm will talk about the role of Banque Misr in small projects and  Mustafa Yunus deals with the issue of chambers of commerce and the crisis of Banque Misr.

 

The symposium is moderated by Ahmed Zakaria, professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Ain Shams University.
