CAIRO – 24 November 2020: The Arab Oud House, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, will organize an artistic concert for oud player Salma Mokhtar and her musical band, entitled "The Salma Project", at 7:30 p.m. on November 28.

The “Salma project” is a new experience to revive the Arab heritage in a contemporary way through dialogue with the tunes of the Oud and various musical instruments, playing the musicals of famed Egyptian and Arab musicians, such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, in addition to musicals of Oud legend Naseer Shamma.

Salma Mukhtar graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication, then joined the Arab Oud House, graduated from it, and began her artistic career through the Arab Oud House.

It is worth noting that the Arab Oud House is the first school specialized in teaching the Oud, the bouzouki, the mandolin, and other string instruments, under the supervision of the great Arab musician Naseer Shamma.
