Egypt’s Palace of Arts announces extension of submission to the 31st Youth Salon Poster Design Competition to Nov. 17

CAIRO - 15 November 2020: Egypt’s Palace of Arts, affiliated to the Fine Arts sector, announced the extension of the submission period for the 31st Youth Salon Poster Design competition to November 17.

Works must be submitted at the Palace of Arts in the Egyptian Opera House every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. except Friday.

Terms for participation in the competition is as follows:

• The age of the participant must not exceed 23 years on the opening day of the salon.

• The participant has the right to submit 2 recent poster designs especially designed for the salon.

• Designs must be submitted on a CD in addition to an A3 color printout.

• The design of the posters must include the title of the current edition of the salon,  the youth salon logo as an essential element in the design and the slogans of each of the Fine Arts Sector and the Central Administration of Art Centers.

The participants are not entitled to submit a design that has been used before, or has been displayed, whether on social media or other forms of media, or used as an advertisement or plagiarized from any other posters.

In the event of a violation of this, the organizing committee has the right to withdraw the award as soon as the design is obtained and the artist will be deprived from participating in the Youth Salon for two consecutive editions. The participant may also bear legal responsibility for property rights for any form of plagiarism.
