Egypt's Min. of Solidarity honors Maadi Public Library after winning 1st place among world libraries

CAIRO - 12 November 2020: Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine el-Qabbage honored the Maadi Public Library, affiliated with the Egypt Society for Culture and Community Development, for winning first place in the World Libraries for 2020 and for obtaining the title of Library of the Year 2020, within the International Excellence Awards at the London International Book Fair, in cooperation with the British Publishers Association, in its 49th eidition held on March 2020.

 

El-Qabbage handed the shield of excellence to the  Director of Maadi Public Library Mustafa Shanger,Chairman of the Society Nancy Labib, members of the Society’s Board of Directors, and Director General of the Society Mohammad Ashour.

 

This came during the honoring ceremony in the presence of  Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Mostafa el-Feki, among other prominent figures.
