CAIRO – 10 November 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem received the German ambassador in Cairo, in the presence of President of the Egyptian Opera House Magdy Saber and Maestro Ahmed el-Saidi, the main leader of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, to discuss ways of strengthening cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries.

 

During the meeting, Abdel Dayem emphasized the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Germany, which is being translated realistically through the existence of strategic partnerships between them in all fields, including cultural and artistic exchange between the two countries.

 

She stressed the importance of the vital role that the soft powers of the two countries can play in bringing about a fruitful emotional rapprochement between the people of the two ancient nations, especially to maximize the use of it in building the human personality and activating the concepts of peace among the people of the world.

 

Abdel Dayem further explained that the implementation of a number of projects in various artistic and intellectual fields that would shed light on the creative movement in the two societies were discussed.

 

For his part, the German ambassador in Cairo said that Germany has historical emotional ties with Egypt and stressed that it is a country rich in unique types of human heritage that embody the intermingling of civilizations, history and culture.

 

The German ambassador referred to his country’s endeavor towards creating a state of mutual cultural mobility with Egypt, thanks to its cultural potentials that can be invested in achieving the spread of many of the noble human values, stressing his full respect for the effective role the Egyptian state plays in this regard.
