CAIRO – 9 November 2020: Egypt will participate in the activities of the seventh International Libraries Conference, which launches on November 10 in the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of 400 librarians and library affairs specialists from 39 Arab and foreign countries.

The conference will discuss a major theme concerned with “Libraries and their secretaries facing the challenges of the new situation,” with the aim of exchanging experiences and knowledge and discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the library sector in light of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The conference will witness several sessions, including a session entitled "Professional Development for Library Professionals in the Time of COVID-19 and Beyond: Challenges and Opportunities."

During the “Do's and Don'ts of Successfully Managing Risks in Libraries” session, the conference will discuss a set of key points that librarians (should and should not) take in relation to managing risks to libraries.
