CAIRO – 5 October 2020: The National Translation Center is organizing a symposium to honor the late Ibrahim el-Bahrawi, shedding light on his unique experience in translating secret Israeli documents about the October War.

This will be held on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. at the Taha Hussein Hall at the National Center for Translation. The symposium will be followed by honoring the name of the late Bahrawi.

The importance of studying these documents - of which 5 volumes have been issued so far - is due to the fact that much of the information circulating in the media about the military defeat and Israeli shock and the success of the Egyptian strategic deception plan is presented based on official documents that make the information final facts, documenting them and making them available to the coming generations, tackling any attempts from the Israeli side to alter the true facts.

These documents will with no doubt refute the Israeli claims about the true outcome of the war and reveal the dimensions of the defeat on the battlefield before the Egyptian army.
