Numerous cultural, artistic events to be held on Oct. 5

CAIRO – 5 October 2020: On October 5, a number of cultural and artistic events are set to take place in several centers.

 

The Greater Cairo Library, affiliated to the Cultural Production Affairs Sector headed by director Khaled Galal, is holding a seminar entitled "October’s Heroism Never Ends", at 6 p.m. at El-Hanager Art Center. Rhis comes as part of the Ministry of Culture's celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the Glorious October Victory.

 

The National Center for Child Culture, headed by writer Mohamed Nassif, organizes a number of activities at the Children's Cultural Park in Sayeda Zainab. National songs of victory will be played  around and in front of the park with a screen displaying images from October’s victory.

 

Additionally, the Library Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina presents an interactive online lecture [Webinar] entitled "The Teacher of the Twenty-first Century and the Challenges of Digitization", at 12 p.m.

 

Atelier Daha is hosting a seminar to discuss the book "Good Morning Mona", written by Osama al-Rahimi and Mona al-Shimi at 6:30 p.m.

 

At 7:30 p.m., the activities of the Cultural Production Affairs Sector program will start at the El-Hanager Arts Center Theater in Cairo Opera House. The program will kick off with the play "Cinema Masr”.

 

Also, novelist Rasha Samir will host the famous French writer and political historian Gilbert Sino on a live broadcast on her Facebook page at 7 p.m.
