CAIRO – 21 September 2020: Head of the General Authority for Culture Palaces Ahmed Awwad and Deputy of the Red Sea Governor Atef Wagdy launched the activities of the Fourth Cultural Forum for Youth of the Frontier Governorates in the Red Sea Governorate.

 

A total of 75 young men and women from six border governorates, namely North Sinai, South Sinai, the Red Sea, the New Valley, Aswan and Cairo, are participating in the forum. The forum will run until September 25 at the Hurghada Culture Palace.

 

The activities began with an art show by the Hurghada Culture Palace Group for Folk Art, where the group presented shows illustrating the artistic heritage of the Red Sea governorates.

 

The show was then followed with the inspection of the various workshops held within the forum, including workshops on leather crafts, created weaving, heritage boats, theatrical drama and literary writing.

 

The workshops aim to develop cultural and national awareness of young people, and to invest in pluralism and cultural diversity among the people of the different governorates of Egypt, nurturing cultural and artistic talents and rehabilitating young people according to their preferences and talents.
