Numerous cultural, artistic events to be held on Sept. 20

CAIRO – 20 September 2020: On September 20, a number of cultural and artistic events will be held.

The Art House for Folklore and Performing Arts will hold a memorial service for the artist Mahmoud Reda at the Balloon Theater in Agouza at 8 p.m. The Art House will continue to present the program "A Night in the Love of Mahmoud Reda" to the public for a week, so that new generations can get acquainted with the creations of one of the symbols of art, and the pioneer of popular art shows in Egypt and the Arab world.

The concert program begins with an anthology of Mohame Raouf collages of the most important paintings and reviews of Mohamed Reda's work. This is followed by a video by the artist Mahmoud Reda, shown on the stage screen, and then a dramatic performance by Mido Adel.

Furthermore, the International Book Center of the Egyptian General Book Authority, headed by Haitham al-Hag Ali, is organizing a seminar at 6 p.m. to discuss the latest publications of the poet Hassan Talab, issued by the General Egyptian Book Organization. 

Moreover, the House of Arabic Poetry [Beit el-Sit Wassila], affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund sector, is hosting a symposium on "Prophetic praises in Arabic poetry" at 7 p.m. This comes as part of the activities of the Youth Literary Salon of the Supreme Council for Culture, which is organized by the Central Administration for Literary Affairs and Competitions in cooperation with the Fund Sector.
