CAIRO – 14 September 2020: Alexandria Opera House's Sayed Darwish Theatre will host a concert of Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble for Arabic Music, led by Maestro Ahmed Amer, on September 17.

The concert’s program includes a selected bouquet of timeless works of great composers such as Sayed Darwish, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Sayed Mekkawy, Mohamed el-Mogy, Fayed Mohamed, Mohamed Sultan, Fouad Helmy, Abdul Azim Mohamed and Mohamed el-Qasabgy.

The concert will be performed by Kenzi, Ibrahim Rashid, Aya Abdullah, Mohamed Hassan, Mustafa Najdi and Nihad Fat-hi.

It is noteworthy that Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble was established in 1967 under the leadership of Maestro Abdel Halim Nouira and under the name of the Arab Music Ensemble to revive the original Arab singing and present various traditional musical and lyrical forms.

During that time, the ensemble provided an opportunity for modern and contemporary composers to present their quality productions via traditional casts.
