Egypt’s Ahmad Al Morsy wins ACA’S Best Cinematography Award

CAIRO - 23 August 2020: DOP Ahmad Al Morsy has won Best Cinematography Award for the film Blue Elephant: Dark Whispersat the 5thArabian Cinema Awards (ACA) for film releases in 2019. This marks Al Morsy's second ACA Award after winning it for his film Diamond Dust in 2019.

The 5th Arabian Cinema Awards (ACA) awards films that have been released in 2019. Organized by DearGuest Co.Arabian Cinema Awards hands awards in 20 categories, based on the votes of ACA Awarding Night’s members, who work in the filmmaking industry. 

Ahmad Al Morsy is a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) and the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC). Throughout his career, Al Morsy has won 20 international and local awards for his work, including Messages From The Sea (2010), The Party(2013), The Blue Elephant (2014), The Originals (2017), Diamond Dust (2018), and Blue Elephant: Dark Whispers, made more than EGP 102 million in the Egyptian box office, becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of Egyptian cinema. Al Morsy has recently wrapped up shooting Ahmed Alaa’s Al Aref starring Ahmed Ezz and is currently Marwan Hamed's upcoming film Kira & El Gen which marks their fifth collaboration.
