CAIRO – 20 August 2020: The Center for Film Culture at the National Center for Cinema held on August 19 a workshop on cinematic decoration, under the supervision of engineer Shady Anani, at the headquarters of the Center for Film Culture in Downtown Cairo.

The workshop was held in the presence of critic Magdy al-Shahry, director of the Center for Film Culture, who welcomed the attendees at the beginning of the workshop, and was keen to highlight the importance of implementing all the necessary precautionary measures for their safety, adhering to 25 percent of the hall's total capacity.

According to a statement issued by the Cultural Production Sector on august 20, the workshop dealt with the essential role cinematic decoration plays in the success of an art work, whether in cinema, theater, or even commercial advertisements, providing the opportunity for new students of specialized film institutes to get acquainted with some general guidelines for cinematic decoration and a practical implementation of what they study.

Shady Anani praised the important role played by the National Film Center, headed by Souad Shawky, and the parties supporting such workshops, especially as they are provided free of charge to academics and amateurs.
