CAIRO – 19 August 2020: In celebration of the Hijri New Year, the Talaat Harb Cultural Center in Sayeda Nafisa, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, will hold an artistic concert for the National Folk Music Ensemble at the Artistic House of Folk and Performing Arts on August 21.

The National Folk Music Ensemble was established in 1993 under the leadership of Solomon Jamil. He was assisted by Zakaria Hijjawi to collect the folk art material from all over Egypt.

Ahmed el-Kahlawi played a major role in the formation of the religious chanting division, which is concerned with providing religious heritage material and praising the Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.
