Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture calls on intellects, poets to continue participating in Read With Us initiative

CAIRO – 4 August 2020: Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture extended an invitation to participate in the Read with us initiative, which is organized by the Supreme Council of Culture, headed by Hisham Azmy.

The initiative aims to create the largest possible space for communication between writers and creators from various countries with different generations of readers to acquaint those interested with examples of their work and creativity.

The initiative is held by allowing each intellect or writer to choose a chapter from their book, research, narration, short story or poem and record it in an audio with their own voice. The recording is sent to the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Culture to prepare it and broadcast it on the official YouTube channel, and social media accounts.

It is worth noting that the culture portal contains rare cultural content.  The slogan of the portal and its aim is to reach 100 million Egyptian intellectuals, and to spread the Egyptian culture and raise its stature among the countries of the world. 

The portal also facilitates the services provided by the ministry through its offices in various governorates by allowing citizens to apply for their services online and obtain the necessary licenses.
