CAIRO – 22 July 2020: The Greater Cairo Library will hold a symposium on "Positives & Negatives of July 23 Revolution" on July 22 at the library’s headquarters in Zamalek at 6 p.m. to celebrate the anniversary of July 23 Revolution.

 

Khalaf Abdel Azim al-Meiri, professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Ain Shams University and journalist Sherif Aref will be speaking at the symposium set to be managed by Yasser Osman, the general manager of the library.

 

The celebration also includes a book fair and periodicals about the July 23 Revolution. These books cover the most important achievements of the July Revolution.

 

The library is keen to follow and implement all the precautionary measures to battle COVID-19, including wearing face-masks, using sterilization gates, measuring the temperature of guests and participants, social-distancing and using only 25 percent of its total occupancy rate.

 

The symposium will be held at the library’s terrace offering a picturesque view of the Nile River.
