CAIRO – 21 July 2020: On the second night of the summer program, the Cultural Development Fund Sector will host artistic and musical concerts in the Manasterli Palace Garden in El-Manial, most importantly the concert of the Arab Oud House Orchestra at 8 p.m. on July 26, while applying all the preventative measures to battle COVID-19.

The orchestra consists of more than 40 professors and some of the most skilled players of the House of Oud, founded by Iraqi Oud master Naseer Shamma.

The orchestra will present a number of legendary compositions for Mohammed Abdel Wahab that focus on the oud instrument, in addition to a group of Shamma’s musical compositions.

It is noteworthy that the artist Naseer Shamma founded the House of Oud in the House of Al-Harawi in Historic Cairo in 1998, as the first pioneering house for teaching oud and stringed instruments.
