CAIRO – 12 July 2020: The Egyptian play “Alice in Wonderland” will stage on the second day of Eid el-Adha at Abdel Wahab Theatre in Alexandria.

 

The play previously achieved revenues amounting to LE 1 million after 40 shows only, a number that is considered a record in the history of public Egyptian theatre.

The play revolves around Alice's escapades in wonderland along with her rabbit Bunny.

“Alice in Wonderland” is based on the famed novel that bears the same name and was released in 1865 by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll.

The play stars Marwa Abdel Moneim as Alice, alongside Diaa ShafeekBasma Maher, Heba Maher, Noura el-Sharkawy, Mohamed Omar, Karim Abdel Shafie, Ahmed Hamouda, Ahmed Shouman, Hamada Mahmoud, Mohamed Fayez, Abdel Hamid Gabr, and Mahmoud Salah, among others.

The Egyptian “Alice in Wonderland” is written and directed by Mohsen Rizk. The plays' songs are written by Adel Salama. The play is full of expressive dances and songs that the audience loved.
