Egyptian Salwa Ahmed receives State Encouragement Award for theatrical performance

CAIRO - 20 June 2020: Rising Egyptian actress Salwa Ahmed receives State Encouragement Award for theatrical performance on her role in '' Shaq el Amar'' play.

This is not the first award for Ahmed as she received thirteen awards from several festivals, including the National Theater Festival, as well as after the external festivals.

Ahmed announced that this award is one of the most important awards she received, as it is a recognition from the Egyptian state of her talent, especially that it came at a time she is yearning for theater and acting.


The Supreme Council of Culture held its 64th meeting specialized for voting for the 2019 State Award winners, chaired by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem. on June 20 at 12 p.m. at the Grand Theater in the Egyptian Opera House.
