CAIRO - 28 May 2020: Egyptian star Mohamed Imam celebrated the screening of his new movie “Les Baghdad” [Thief of Baghdad] in UAE's movie theaters, as life is slowly returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the entire world.

Imam posted on his official Facebook account the selection of his film to be among the few films released in UAE theaters on May 28.

It is noteworthy that the movie “Les Baghdad” [Thief of Baghdad] was initially released in Egypt on January 22, 2020. It was released during the last cinematic season before issuing a decision to close cinemas and theaters to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the precautionary measures applied by the state.

The film achieved revenues that exceeded LE 32 million, while the revenues of his previous movie, "Leilat Hana Wa Sorour" [Hana & Sorour Night] reached revenues of about L.E 35 million.

“Les Baghdad” stars Mohamed Adel Imam, Yasmine Rais, Fathi Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Amina Khalil and Ahmed el-Awadi. The movie is directed by Ahmed Khaled Musa and is produced by Synergy.

The film is an action/comedy, revolving around an adventure that takes place when the protagonists become interested in the search for a lost treasure.
