The Egyptian Ministry of Culture’s YouTube Channel exceeded 100K subscribers in 60 days - ET

CAIRO - 25 May 2020: The Ministry of Culture’s channel on YouTube managed to attract approximately 25 million visitors to its cultural, artistic and intellectual content, presented over a span of 60 days since the launch of the e-initiative “Stay At Home. Culture Is Between Your Hands.”

The ministry monitored the interaction of 1.6 million viewers with the shows it presented and the subscriptions to the channel exceeded 100,290 subscribers in two months.

The number of buffered hours reached more than 200,930 and the list of viewers came from more than 28 countries around the world, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, America, Canada, Iraq, Germany, England, Morocco and Jordan.

For her part, Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem expressed her happiness with the public's eagerness to enjoy the intellectual and artistic treasures of Egypt, which are part of the nation's cultural and artistic heritage.

Abdel Dayem further stated that the success of the channel reflects the public's confidence in the creative content that the state offers, stressing that investing in modern technology is an effective way to spread awareness and social development.
