Egypt’s Min. of Culture prepares huge cultural, artistic digital content during Ramadan

CAIRO - 23 April 2020: The Egyptian Ministry of Culture offers a number of huge digital cultural and artistic events during the holy month of Ramadan.

The events will be available on the ministry’s official YouTube channel as well as various other social media platforms, and include a set of recorded activities and competitions aiming to enrich the knowledge of Egyptians of all ages. This is in addition to specialized content for children.

The General Egyptian Book Organization is preparing to display the most prominent symposiums of the Cairo International Book Fair throughout its editions.

During Ramadan, symposiums for several icons of Egypt in numerous fields will be presented. These icons include Naguib Mahfouz, Anis Mansour, Ahmed Zewail, Yahya el-Fakhrani, Farouk Gowaida, Makram Mohamed, Syed Higab, Mahmoud al-Khatib, Yousra, Zaki Naguib Mahmoud, Abdel Rahman el-Abnudi, Mahmoud Yassin, Saad al-Din Wahba and Mohammed Hassanein Heikal.

It is worth noting that the culture portal is the first platform of its kind that contains rare cultural treasures that raise the cultural level for intellectuals and individuals closely related to cultural authorities in the various governorates of Egypt.

The slogan of the portal and its aim is to “reach 100 million Egyptian intellectuals”, spread Egyptian culture and boost its position among the countries of the world in general and African countries in particular.

The portal also works to facilitate the services provided by the ministry through its offices in various governorates by allowing citizens to apply for these services electronically and obtain the necessary licenses/permits.
