CAIRO - 21 April 2020: Misr el-Mahrousa magazine of the General Authority of Cultural Palaces, headed by Ahmed Awad, launched the e-initiative "Spring at Home" on Facebook in-line with Egypt’s celebrations of Easter.

The e-initiative witnessed high interaction from numerous artists, intellectuals, and researchers, who have supported the initiative on their official pages on social media.

Under the editorial leadership of Howaida Saleh, the magazine attaches great significance to its role in raising the citizens' awareness of the importance of staying at home for the sake of their well-being, and as a form of support to the state’s measures in this regard.

Egyptian plastic artist Angy Abdel Moneim, the magazine's editorial secretary, said that the magazine's initiative emphasizes the important role of the magazine in culture and artistic enlightening, which positively impacts a large segment of the society.

She added that she made several sketches for the design of the e-initiative, until she reached the final design, which was characterized by bright, joyous colors, stressing that the relief of COVID-19 will come soon.

It is noteworthy that the Misr el-Mahrousa magazine is one of the publications of the General Authority of Cultural Palaces under the supervision of the Central Department of Technology Media.

It is an electronic magazine concerned with the dissemination of literature, arts and national culture in all its forms.
