CAIRO – 22 June 2017: Audrey Hepburn’s collection of personal items will be on sale at Christie’s London auction house on 27 September, the BBC reported.

"We hope the sales will pay tribute to the timeless style of this legendary actress," said Adrian Hume-Sayer, the auction house's director of private collections.

Hepburn’s collection includes pictures, personal letters, a group of ballerina pumps, and a Burberry coat. Hepburn’s own copy from the script of her immortal film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, with written notes and explanations, and a gift lighter from Breakfast at Tiffany’s director with the engraving ‘’For my fair lady,’’ are also up for auction.

Hepburn’s personal letters include one from Truman Capote, the script writer of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The sale is endorsed by Hepburn’s sons Luca and Sean. They expressed their hope that the sale will be a good opportunity for Hepburn’s lovers to possess pieces from her personal collection as a memory from their beloved actress.

Audrey Hepburn was a British actress, model and dancer. The American Film Institute ranked Hepburn as the third greatest female screen legend in Hollywood Golden era. Hepburn was the first actress to win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA award all for performing the leading role in the 1953 film Roman Holiday. Hepburn was a humanitarian, she dedicated most of her later life to UNICEF. She died of cancer at the age of 63.
