CAIRO - 31 March 2020: A group of stars launched a campaign named Breathe to provide aid and donations to patients of coronavirus. A large number of stars participated in this campaign, in addition to swimming champion Farida Othman and businessman Naguib Sawiris.

The campaign was initially launched by famed star Yousra through a video uploaded on her official Instagram. “Take a deep breath! What is happening is not the fault of a specific country.

All the hardships that other nations went through should prepare us for anything that emerges; the best way to combat that virus is through artificial ventilators, which are very scarce in Egypt! Please donate so that we can buy artificial respirators and save Egyptians!” commented the super star.

Participants in this campaign also include Amr Youssef, Kinda Alloush, Noor, Mai Omar, Hisham Abbas, Maha Abu Auf, Tara Emad, Abu, Amina Khalil, Dora and others.

Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed, confirmed that the “Tahya Masr” (Long Live Egypt) Fund provided the ministry with artificial respirators and other devices used in intensive care units. The minister described Egypt as a “country of institutions” and stressed that work should be done collectively by all the institutions of the country.
