“The initiative aims to broadcast anecdotes about the archives of national, contemporary and traditional creativity on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Culture and its different social media accounts,” Abdel Dayem explained.

Abdel Dayem further stated that the broadcast begins with the Opera House's hologram concert of the late wonderful singer Umm Kulthum’s “Hayart Qalbi”, in addition to other Umm Kulthum's specials performed by Reham Abdel Hakim and Mai Farouk.

“Read with us” presents extracts from one of an Arab writer or poet's works read by his/her own voice. The recorded video is sent to the Supreme Council of Culture to upload it on all social media platforms, enabling the followers to engage freely in comments.

A large number of writers and creators from Arab countries and Egypt participate in the event.
