Zawya Cinema to screen films nominated for Oscars on Feb. 5

CAIRO - 5 February 2020: Starting from Feb. 5 to Feb 11, Zawya Cinema will screen a variety of films nominated for Oscars Awards.

Among the films scheduled to be screened, the most notable are: “Frozen II”, “Maleficent II”, “Ford V. Ferrari”, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.

The Oscars announced the second batch of the ceremony’s presenters scheduled for Feb. 9, including Will Ferrell, Mindy Kaling and Kristen Wiig, in addition to Mahershala Ali, Rami Malek, Olivia Colman and Regina King.

American actress Kristen Wiig expressed her happiness for being chosen to present the Academy Awards on February 9, stressing that what is important for her is to be present in that major cinematic forum, whether on the podium or in the list of nominations, according to the American newspaper "New York Post".

Wiig explained that her passion for cinema prompted her to practice writing and production besides acting, noting that comedy is her favorite arena, but she is qualified to play many tragic roles.
