CAIRO - 27 January 2020: The plastic artist Hany Gamal published a set of pictures of his latest artwork, which is a statue of the Lebanese iconic singer Fayrouz. The magnificent artwork is a partial statue representing the head/face of the legendary Lebanese icon.

“From Egypt .. Peace for Fayrouz; the neighbor of the moon” commented Gamal on his official Facebook account.

The statue carved by the plastic artist Hany Gamal won the admiration of a large number of his followers on social media platforms. Over 1000 followers “liked” the statue while over 100 commented, during which his followers expressed their admiration for the splendor of the artwork which is among the works Gamal carried out so far in 2020. The picture of the statue was shared over 500 times.

Egyptian sculptor Hany Gamal was born in Minya Governorate in 1986. He became famous on social media, after he presented various sculptural models of plastic art for the celebrities of Egypt and the world, including Mohammed Fawzi, Sayyid al-Naqshabandi and famed heart surgeon Magdi Yaqoub.

Gamal had a passion for art at an early age. He developed his passion in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minya University, graduating in 2008.

The sculptor achieved wide fame after he succeeded in carving a distinguished statue of Liverpool’s star and Egypt Mohamed Salah. The picture of Salah’s statue went viral on social media platforms at the time, fulfilling Gamal’s dream by reaching the player.

Gamal’s artworks for the year 2019 included a statue of the late actor Ahmed Zaki, and another of the martyr Hisham Barakat, who was assassinated in the wake of the bombing of his motorcade in Heliopolis, in June 2015.
