Al-Sheikh sets plan for more concerts in Egypt, KSA

CAIRO - 22 January 2020: Head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority Turki al-Sheikh confirmed on his official social media platforms that he started to develop a plan to present several shows in Saudi Arabia and Egypt within the next four months.

“I cannot stop working even if I am not feeling very well! Currently putting a plan together as per the instructions of his Highness the Crown Prince. Egyptian art whether it is theater or opera will have a share of this plan. I want Ahmed Helmy, Hamaki, Ahmed el-Sakka, Diab, Yehia el-Fakharani, and others. All authors, actors, and artists in Egypt prepare for many opportunities with us.” commented Turki al-Sheikh.

On the other hand, Al-Sheikh had announced the launch of a new poetry competition, which would be dedicated to the people of the Arabian Gulf.

In another context, Head of the Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and owner of the Spanish club Almeria Turki Al-Sheikh issued a statement on his Facebook page, regarding the position of his honorary presidency of Al-Ahly Club in Egypt.

The statement came as follows:

“It is a great honor to be the honorary president of Al-Ahly Club. However, The club did not reply in-regards to my resignation from that position.”

“I was honored with the honorary presidency granted to me by your board of directors and wished to serve the entity and still do.”

“On May 25, 2018, I formally submitted my resignation from the club's honorary presidency, but I have not been officially notified until the moment of accepting the resignation.”

“I hope that your esteemed council will quickly resolve the matter and notify me as soon as possible.”
