CAIRO - 20 January 2020: Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem decided to form a control room under her chairmanship at the headquarters of the Cairo International Book Fair.

The 51st edition of the Cairo International Book Fair is scheduled to run from Jan. 22 to Feb. 4, 2020 in Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement District.

The control room is formed in order to follow-up the progress of work throughout the days of the cultural and artistic event, to communicate with the public and to overcome obstacles that may face visitors or exhibitors.

Abdel Dayem said that the formation of the control room comes within the development process of the book fair, especially after the success achieved during its Golden Jubilee edition in 2019.

It is worth noting that the General Egyptian Book Organization announced the transportation lines for the 51st Cairo International Book Fair, as it includes seven lines with a total of 80 buses, and can be increased to 100 buses on holidays.

Senegal will be the guest of honor for this year's Book Fair. The late thinker Gamal Hemdan was chosen as the main personality of the exhibition.
