CAIRO – 18 June 2017: YouTube star Lilly Singh has recently joined the cast of HBO’s movie adaptation of the famous novel “Fahrenheit 451,” Variety reported Friday.

Joining director Ramin Bahrani and a cast consisting of Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, and “The Mummy” star Sofia Boutella, this is Singh's first major acting experience. She previously worked in the movie “Bad Moms” and lent her voice to a character in “Ice Age: Collision Course,” both produced in 2016.

“Fahrenheit 451” was penned by American novelist and screenwriter Ray Bradbury and published in 1953. It is one of the most famous dystopian novels in American literature with a plot taking place in a future society in which books are banned and considered illegal, and firemen burn any book they find.

The novel was adapted multiple times into plays, but the most famous adaptation is a 1966 movie adaptation written and directed by François Truffaut and starred Oskar Werner and Julie Christie.
