CAIRO - 8 January 2020: The Egyptian Russian Foundation for Culture and Science will issue a book titled “Secrets of Archeology: Tutankhamun, Pyramids and Mummies" for Hussain Abdel Bassir.
Abdel Bassir is the director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) Antiquities Museum. This comes in preparation for the book's participating in the Cairo International Book Fair, which is scheduled to start on January 22, 2020.
“This book comes at a very important time to answer many important questions that attempt to challenge the great ancient Egyptian civilization. It also explains the magic, beauty, secrets of and treasures of Pharaonic Egypt that enchanted and still enchants the whole world, especially the secrets of the golden Pharaoh Tutankhamun, the great Egyptian pyramids and the charming Egyptian mummies,” said Chairman of the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science Hussein el-Shafei.
“The discovery of Pharaonic Egypt came through the discovery of the Rosetta Stone. The discovery of the Rosetta Stone is one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the history of humanity throughout its glorious ages, and an important key to uncovering the ancient Egyptian language secrets. It is considered as a luminous window, enabling the whole world to observe the charm of ancient Egypt and enjoy its endless beauty,” said Abdel Bassir.
“By discovering the Rosetta Stone and deciphering the ancient Egyptian language, it became clear to the whole world that Egypt is the cradle and land of civilizations. In Egypt, history and human civilization were born thousands of years ago. Wherever you go, you will definitely find a part of the history of Egypt as well as part of the history of the world. Therefore, we will not be wrong if we say that Egypt and history are identical twins in everything. The story of the discovery of Pharaonic Egypt and the deciphering of the secrets of the Pharaohs civilization was the moment when humanity learned its ancient glory; when science prevailed and human civilization manifested itself in the most wonderful forms represented in ancient Egypt. The magic of Pharaonic Egypt still captures our eyes, fascinates our minds and lights our way. All love and appreciation to ancient Egypt, its eternal civilization, and the ancient Egyptians, the owners of the first civilization that taught the world, and was truly the dawn of the human conscience in the whole world." concluded Abdel-Bassir.
It is worth noting that Abdel-Bassir is an archaeologist and novelist. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in ancient Egyptian antiquities at the Faculty of Archeology, Cairo University, and received his master's and doctorate degrees in ancient Egyptian archeology and history and archeology of the ancient Near East at Johns Hopkins University, USA.
