CAIRO - 30 December 2019: George Wassouf recorded a new song in the Egyptian dialect. The song’s name is yet to be decided.

The song is written by Malak Adel and composed by Mohamed Yehya. The single is set to be released in the summer of 2020.

The song’s distributor Zizo Farouk commented to the press that he is very happy to collaborate for the first time with superstar George Wassouf, who will appear in a totally different style. Farouk further stated that the song inflicts optimism and holds a romantic theme.

Furthermore, Wassouf performed a concert in the Syrian city of Latakia on Dec. 25, despite the devastating events the city is going through. The Syrian mega-star performed a wide number of his most popular hits, including “Youm el-Wada’”, “Enta Ghairhom”, among others.

Lately, a rumor had spread regarding the death of the veteran Syrian singer, which caused a state of havoc among his fans. The rumor made Wassouf deny it himself on his official Instagram account, using a sarcastic caricature and comment.
