CAIRO - 29 December 2019: Sharm el-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth, headed by director Mazen el-Gharabawy, presents the Author Award of its fifth edition to late professor and writer Ahmed Sakhsoukh.

The festival’s fifth edition will be held from April 1-7, 2020. The award will be granted to the late writer for his endless critical writings and contributions to the Egyptian and Arabic Theater.

Ahmed Sakhsoukh is a theater and academic writer. He was born in 1947 and graduated from the High Institute for Theatrical Arts, Department of Drama and Theater Criticism in 1975.

He traveled at his own expense to Austria and studied at the Institute of Dramatic Sciences at the University of Vienna. He is also a critic who specializes in drama.
