CAIRO - 17 November 2019: The International Theater Without Fund Festival held in Alexandria is scheduled to honor renowned actor Ahmed Abdel Aziz in its closing ceremony on Nov. 22.

The closing ceremony will be held in Beram el-Tonsy theater .

The opening of the festival will be held on Nov. 17 at 7 pm under the patronage of the Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and runs until Nov. 22 at the theaters of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Beram el-Tonsy Theater and El-Anfoushy Cultural Palace.

This special edition of the festival bears the name of the late Alexandrian actor Talaat Zakaria and is headed by Gamal Yaqout. It is co-organized by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Theater Art House, in addition to fifty Alexandrian youths participating voluntarily efforts.

It is noteworthy that the actor Ahmed Abdel Aziz was born in Alexandria and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Institute of Theatrical Arts. His artistic career embarked through the university theater, before he began to present shows in Al-Talea Theater in 1976.

The renowned actor also directed a few theatrical plays, including “Maasat el-Hallag”. Abdel Aziz also played significant roles in numerous screenplays, including “El-Mal Wel Banon”, “El-Maghoul”, “Harth el-Donia”, among others.

Abdel Aziz was assigned as the President of the Egyptian National Festival in its 12th edition last year.
