CAIRO - 23 September 2019: On October 3, the Arab National Music Ensemble will perform a concert at the Arab Music Institute at 8 p.m.

The concert’s program includes some of the most popular musical works of the late iconic musician Mohamed el-Mougy, including “Safini marra”, “Fengan Qahwa”, “Lel Sabr Hodood”, “Hobak Nar”, among others.

Mougy is one of the most prominent musicians of the 1960s. His first song was "Safini Marra", sung by late Abdel Halim Hafez. The Egyptian Opera House also organizes a series of monthly concerts under the title of “Kulthumiat” in honor of the “Planet of the East”, Umm Kulthum, and within its plan to revive the heritage of Arab music, disseminating its gems among the new generations, as an integral part of Egypt's cultural history and civilization and a bridge between the past, present and future.
