CAIRO - 23 September 2019: The Theatrical Professions Syndicate, headed by Ashraf Zaki, issued an official statement warning actors/actresses against dealing with producer Ahmed Abdel Aty's Art Production Company. Abdel Aty produced the series "Nasibi wa Qesmetak".

The official statement also warned against dealing with artistic producer Ayman Shawky.

The statement was issued due to Abdel Aty's non-compliance with the principles of the syndicate and the violation of its laws, in addition to casting actors who are not enlisted as members of the syndicate.

The syndicate has previously warned all production companies not to cast actors/actresses who are not enlisted in the syndicate, as the syndicate seeks to find employment opportunities for syndicate members first.

Actors/actresses who are not members of the syndicate came as follows:

Hany Adel, Kareem el-Omary, Kareem Sobhy, Nancy Salah, Tony Maher, Shady Gamil, Esraa el-Belisy, Asma Soliman, Mostafa Salama, Yasmine Ghaith, Mai Fakhri and Saba Rifai.

Zaki told the press that the syndicate’s members convened to discuss the violations made by Abdel Aty, who violated the laws and regulations set by the union.

The head of the Theatrical Professions Syndicate stressed that actors/actresses who continue to deal with Abdel Aty will be suspended immediately.
