CAIRO - 27 August 2019: Sabry Saad, who embodied the role of Sayed Sho’la in the Egyptian movie "Hammam fi Amsterdam", reappeared with his family on the cover of the Dutch magazine Volkskrant.

The actor, whose features have drastically changed, made it to the cover of the famous Dutch magazine because of his participation in a Dutch film under the Arabic title of "The Family of Al-Hamous". The magazine wrote about the film and conducted a long interview with Saad and his family.

“I have been living in the Netherlands since the 1970s. I met the production and directing team of 'Hammam in Amsterdam' when they came to the Netherlands to start filming. The initial agreement was to participate in the film as an assistant director, but I was later appointed the role of Sayed Sho’la. After filming, I was busy studying art and participating in radio and theatrical works in the Netherlands,” Saad said during the interview.

“I had two boys and a girl with my first wife, Lisa, whom I met while studying cinema. My elder son is Shady who is working in the field of directing. His film won an award at the El Gouna Film Festival 2 years ago. Shady is currently working on a new film where his younger brother plays the leading role. The film is scheduled to be released in October. Ashgan, my daughter, is currently taking big steps in the field of filmmaking working as a scenarist,” Saad contiued.
