CAIRO - 1 August 2019: Alexandria Summer Book Exhibition -running until August 8- presents daily puppet shows which impress the children attending the exhibition.

The Araguz (puppet) shows provide children with much needed lessons in ethics, literature, honesty and love of reading. The exhibition also includes cultural seminars, signing parties and discussion of a variety of books, as well as poetry evenings and concerts performed by people with special needs, all held in Shatby’s Culture Palace.

The exhibition was launched by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem,Deputy Governor of Alexandria Ahmed Gamal, and Hisham el-Hag, head of the General Egyptian Book Organization.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition is located on an area of 2000 square meters and includes 86 publishers, including sectors of the Ministry of Culture and private publishing houses, in addition to the theater on which the activities associated with the exhibition will be held.

The exhibition is part of the Ministry of Culture's plan to hold book fairs in coastal cities during the summer, and make book prices affordable to all Egyptian citizens.
